Kemence can be reached from Budapest on M0 (highway), 2/A and road 12 via Vác-Nagymaros-Szob-Vámosmikola (103 km) on the west side of the Börzsöny.

On the east side of the Börzsöny there is an another way: M0 (highway), 2/A and road 2 via Vác-Rétság-Drégelypalánk-Parassapuszta (95 km).

To the visitors arrive from west this road is offered: Esztergom (Mária Valéria bridge)-Párkány (Stúrovo)-Garamkövesd (Kamenica nad Hronom)-Szalka (Salka)-Letkés-Vámosmikola-Kemence (33 km).
