Traffic in winter

Most of the railways are out of regular operation in winter. Special trains perhaps run this places. There is no regular passenger traffic on the following railways:

• Almamellék
• Csömödér (only passenger traffic)
• Debrecen, Zsuzsi railway
• Debrecen, fun-fairs railway
• Felsőtárkány
• Hortobágy
• Kemence
• Nagybörzsöny
• Nagycenk
• Pálháza
• Tiszakécske

Szilvásvárad is out of operation in winter theoretically but practically they usually run on weekends.

Following railways run only on weekends in winter:

• Gyöngyös (only to Mátrafüred)
• Királyrét
• Lillafüred (only to Garadna, except from 20.12.2007 to 06.01.2008 when it runs daily)

Other railways run every day. We have some unique: the Childrens Railway in Budapest isnt operated on Mondays. Kaszó runs only on working days but we prefer to sign them earlier if you will plan to travel here. Mesztegnyő runs on every Thuesday and Friday, we prefer to call them to in case of planning travel here. Railways which operated every day:

• Balatonfenyves
• Gemenc (between Pörböly and Gyöngyösoldal)
• Kecskemét
• Nyíregyháza
