By train

Miskolc has excellent railway connection to Budapest. Intercity trains depart from Budapest Keleti station to Miskolc Tiszai station every hour and there are express trains in every second hours. Connections are really good to Debrecen and Ny�regyh�za too by Intercity trains which run every second hours. Miskolc has railway connection with the Slovakian town Kosice (there is an international airport here) and there is a night train to the Polish town Krak�w.

Travelling to the terminus of the railway�the best�choose is tram nr. 1 which starts from the square in front of Miskolc Tiszai station. The 17th stop is called L�EV located near the terminus of the railway. Visitors can reach Lillaf�red station by public transportation too. You can travel by tram nr. 1 to its terminus called Di�sgy�r where you can change to bus nr. 5. Lillaf�red Palota sz�ll� stop is above the narrow gauge station. Bus nr. 15 runs paralel with the railway and reach �jmassa-�skoh�, K�z�p-Garadna and Garadna stations.

By car

Miskolc is located near motorway M30. You have to follow "Lillaf�red" signposts when you arrive at Miskolc. You will arrive at Kiss alt�bornagy utca�when you leave the industrial quarter of the city.�Tram's track lies in the middle of the road here. The termonus of the railway is located�in front of�an OMV petrol station,�near the tram's L�EV stop. Parking is possible near the termonus on the small streets between the blocks.

Visitors can get Lillaf�red and Garadna station by car, too. You have to go ahead paralel with the tram to the direction of Lillaf�red, R�p�shuta or Eger (these names are usualy come up on signposts). Later you will drive near the tram's terminus, cross the railway and leave the city. About a km later you will cross the railway's Mah�ca line and arrive at Als�h�mor, Fels�h�mor, finally at Lillaf�red. You have to follow the road to Eger. After some bands you will cross the narrow gauge railway again - Lillaf�red station is on the left. Parking is not so easy here in the summer months.

If you turn right when you arrive at Lillaf�red (to the direction of B�nk�t) and follow the lake on the left you will arrive at �jmassa-�skoh� station (railway is always on your left). There is a mining museum on the right (in front of the station) visitors can see an electric�mine locomotive and some coaches here. Next junction is about 4 kms from Lillaf�red. The main road turns right here but you have to go straight ahead in the valley. K�z�p-Garadna station is here on the left. About 2 kms you will get Garadna terminus.
