Wooden bridge at Inclined Plane Lower Station collapsed

Earlier this spring, due to heavy flood after snowbreak the wooden bridge at Inclined Plane Lower Station collapsed.

Though this wooden bridge with wooden longitudinal girder was normaly loaded only with single trucks moved by hourse power from resp. to the platform of the inclined plane (steam engines only passed it on the way to the revision, the larger ones in two pieces), the lack of maintenance after closing trafic in 1999 resulted in a bend in 2003. It was then closed for predestrians also. High water this spring destroyed it finaly.
