Guest performance of a steam engine on the Commandau Forestry Line
2007.08.14 (Markója Szilárd)
The Commandau Days have been held 4 and 5 August this year. On this occasion Georg Hocevar has transported his 762-209 from Brad to Commandau to head the specials.
The 0-4-0 loco was built by Krauss (Munich, Nr 7282) 1917. It ran in Austria. Georg Hocevar has bought it 2005 and than repaired it, coloured it as usual in Romania, and added a newly built tender to assure the required water supply. The loco has been transported by a trailer and pulled onto the track via a temporary slope. There was only a single special each day. The engine headed the only passenger car available in Commando and ran to Km 1 on the line to Halom-summit, from which 4 km remained.
