This railway had transported clay from the mine near Felsőpetény to Bánk MÁV station till the end of 2005 when the mine was closed. Railway was preserved because the owner of the mine plans to change its function as a tourist railway. An NGO called Association of the Friends of Narrow Gauge Railway helps him to reach his target. Volunteers cleared the track in the September of 2006 when the first passenger train ran on the railway. The track is in very bad condition so regular passenger traffic has not been possible yet. The owner of the mine plans to take part in some competitions which will be invited at the end of 2007. We hope regular passenger traffic will be able to start in 2008.

On 16.09.2007 some passenger trains will run on the line. Program will start at 10.00 in Felsőpetény train depot.
