Steam and diesel specials were run as Commandau and Covasna Days features. Several weeks of track work were necessery to allow the special working on the remaining 4 km section of Holomu-pass line. Georg Hocevar and his team built in dozends of sleepers and filled up two huge wash-outs. On the entrance of Commandau the triangle was repaired and inmediately put into service: 762-209 utilized it to run chimney-first the Holomu-bound trains. At the temporal terminus a single point was built in to allow a cable-loop-back for the locomotive. The point originates from Commandau, it layed in front of the workshop. To cope with the masses of passengers a 60 minutes interval was introduced, 762-209 with two passenger carriges and NS3h with 1 carrige alternatively. Members of Association Sikló from Sfintu Gheorghe, Brassov, Bucuresti, Helsinki,Budapest carried out maintenance work on the only remaining oroginal Commandau passenger waggon: the loo (which was mounted when a western film was shot there) was removed, wooden covers repaired, and the whole car was repainted. On the Covasna line NS3h ran with open 4-wheel-cars on the Voinesti - Inclined plane section.  This service was available in almost all August and September weekends. More photographs here:
