In the 1950's Hungary has hundreds of narrow gauge railways in about 4000 km length. Now this is just 400 km. 45 of them have survived. Passenger traffic is avaliable on 23 railways and we have 22 industrial railways in mines, brick factories, etc. This site gives information about them.

Kisvasut.hu has its contain mostly in Hungarian but we plan to translate more and more articles to English.
