Reconstruction workings will be finished in Szob
2007.09.26 (Chikán Gábor)
A forum was organised to the inhabitants in the topic of the reconstucted narrow-gauge railway in Szob in 25.09.2007. Building works will finish soon. They will start to tamp the ballast next week.

Track reconstruction on the 7 kms long railway started last year. Workings should have finished in May but one of the contractors went into bankruptcy. The local authority of the city Szob - who is the procures of the working - had to start a new public procurement procedure which finished in August. Contractors could start workings again at the end of August.
New track is built from 48 kg/m rails with concrete sleepers. The track will contain 5 stops between the two terminouses.
